Private and powerful online therapy for women
Your life hasn’t been easy, but your experiences do not define you.
You have been through IT. You might have nightmares or flashbacks of past experiences, panic attacks, unexpected irritability, or feel like you are in a constant state of restlessness. You may experience trouble sleeping, have muscle tension or relentless headaches. You may suffer from racing thoughts which leave you confused, making it difficult to concentrate or even make decisions. You may feel any combination of these symptoms or all of the above.
You may also feel numb and avoid any emotions including positive feelings like joy or happiness.
Your symptoms may make it hard for you to get to work, let alone get out of bed. You may have trouble caring for your family or yourself. You distract yourself or stay busy to avoid unwanted thoughts which leaves you feeling exhausted and completely disconnected from the people you love. Two people experiencing the same traumatic event may even respond differently resulting in relationship conflict during an already stressful experience.
You desperately need help or to make some kind of change, but you don’t want to talk about the terrible things you’ve been through.
You aren’t as alone as you feel.
Across our lifetime, many people experience something traumatic. This can be the sudden loss of a loved one, surviving an abusive relationship, being the victim in an accident or even the birth of a child. For some of us our response can negatively impact our daily lives. These negative effects might happen after just one devastating episode, prolonged exposure to a significant stressor, or result from a combination of multiple traumatic events.
People can even experience secondary trauma while supporting their loved one through a life-altering event like cancer treatment. Our response to trauma can also vary from person to person, making us question our reaction and ourselves. The good news is, there are ways to manage our response to trauma, even when it seems automatic.
You don’t have to relive your worst moments to improve your mood, your relationships and your life.
With support, you can learn skills to regain composure quicker or prevent yourself from being so restless and reactive. You can improve your ability to communicate with loved ones and feel less alone. You can gain confidence in your potential to heal after trauma and create lasting change. You can understand your body's response to stress and keep yourself from living in survival mode.
Our sessions will be a safe place for you to share your story, allowing you to heal at your own pace.
Come to session to talk about your day, your relationships or how your body responds to stress. Our work may start as simply as discussing your relationships at work, ways to improve your sleep, or by jotting down the things you value most. Whatever you choose to talk about, I won’t just say “that must be hard,” we will find skills to help you manage emotional storms and discover the best way for you to regain composure.
As a team, we will work to identify useful tools to help you in moments of panic. We’ll find concrete solutions flexible enough to fit your lifestyle while still addressing your goals. I’ll help you see that although trauma changes your brain, healing does too. As your symptoms improve, we will also identify ways to maintain your progress so that you can continue to heal and grow.
You’ve finally found the support you need. I specialize in empowering women to manage their response to trauma and take control of their life.

This may depend on the kind and duration of your trauma, as well as how often you attend therapy. However, clients typically learn new skills that they find useful within the first few sessions. Most clients report significant positive change after several months.

Some people benefit greatly from the addition of medication, but it is not always necessary. Therapists do not prescribe medication, but they can provide information about its benefits and side effects, offer a referral, or (with your permission) they can coordinate care with your doctor.
