Anxiety Treatment at the Center

Don’t let anxiety control your mood or sabotage your relationships.

Offering online support to anxious women

You feel like you’re drowning in worries and never-ending problems.

You feel like you’ve tried everything to stop intrusive thoughts and that tightness in your chest, but you’re still overwhelmed. You can’t get out of your head. You are constantly worried about everyday tasks and those daunting life goals. You fret about everything from your relationships to your career choice.

You distract yourself on social media then feel worse as you compare your life to others and question your own decisions. You’re afraid to share your thoughts because people will either think you're crazy or just tell you not to worry. Your loved ones seem withdrawn, and you feel so alone.

You are distracted at work, making mistakes that only increase your financial fears. Your anxious thoughts impact how you eat, causing changes in weight and self-esteem. You can’t sleep well, and you feel tired all the time. Your body aches from the tension making you irritable and even more anxious.

Your anxiety impacts every aspect of your life and no matter what you’ve tried, it has only gotten worse. You just want a break from your racing thoughts. If you just had support, you feel like things could be better.

You aren’t the only one that feels this way.

Almost 20% of the population is estimated to have anxiety, but those statistics only account for people that have reported their symptoms or been diagnosed. Anxiety is not just emotional symptoms. It can cause dry mouth, trembling and dizziness just to name a few. People may also experience hot flashes and digestive issues but not realize they are dealing with anxiety. Whether or not you meet the criteria to be diagnosed, symptoms of anxiety can be debilitating. Finding the right treatment center can help.

You can do more than survive your life. Let’s make the changes that you need to thrive.

You can gain confidence as you learn to understand your mind and what your anxiety is really trying to tell you. With my support, you can learn skills to regain composure quicker or prevent yourself from spiraling altogether. Before you realize it, you’ll be reconnecting and talking to your loved ones about the progress you’ve made.

You can feel empowered to make yourself a priority and create lasting change.

Our sessions will be a safe place, where you can finally focus and talk openly about your worst moments. Tell me your story, be open about your past and the thoughts you have about yourself and others. Whether you want to talk about your day or a difficult childhood memory, I will listen attentively and help you process your fears so that you can finally feel seen. Then we’ll work together to discover tools you actually find useful and design solutions to help you manage your anxiety for good.

We may start off as simply as learning ways to improve your sleep, how anxiety effects your body and its typical response, or by cultivating awareness of patterns during those stressful moments. Together we’ll create a plan to reach your goals and design solutions that are flexible enough to fit your busy schedule. As your symptoms improve, we will also identify ways to maintain the progress you’ve made. You’ll grow confident in your ability to manage whatever life throws your way.

You’ve finally found the support you need. I specialize in helping women just like you accept themselves and overcome their anxious thoughts.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • For anxiety disorders, cognitive behavioral therapy (or CBT) is the most widely used treatment; self-reports and research shows it can be highly effective. This type of therapy helps to identify and change negative thought patterns which can impact stress tolerance and anxiety levels. Other forms of CBT include dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and one of my favorites, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).

  • The goal of therapy is to decrease your levels of anxiety by teaching you skills to manage your thoughts and any difficult situations you may encounter. However, talking about things that make you uncomfortable may initially make you feel anxious. Therapists often use those moments to teach and help you practice skills to manage your feelings. This helps to decrease your anxiety levels over time and improve your ability to manage stressful moments on your own.

  • Clients typically learn new skills that they can use to manage their anxiety in the first few sessions. Most clients report positive changes after several months. However, this also depends on your level of participation and willingness to use the tools offered.

  • Some people benefit greatly from the addition of medication, but it is not always necessary. Therapists do not prescribe medication, but they can provide information about its benefits and side effects, offer a referral, or (with your permission) they can coordinate care with your doctor.
